Privacy Policy

Never Miss a Lead ("NMAL", "we") is operated by Carson Scholl, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. We provide a missed-call text-back service to local businesses ("clients"). This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Callers to our clients: phone number, call time and status, text messages you send, and voicemail recordings and transcripts if you leave one.
- Clients and website visitors: the name, business name, phone, email and details you enter in our forms, plus basic technical data (IP address) used to prevent spam.
Why we use it
- To reply to your call by text on behalf of the business you called, and to pass your message to that business so they can help you.
- To send a one-time review request on a business's behalf, but only after that business has done work for you.
- To provide, bill for and support our service, and to respond to demo requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use callers' information for our own marketing.
Consent and CASL
Text replies are sent only in response to a call you placed to the business. We don't send bulk or marketing texts. Every texting number honours STOP (and similar words such as UNSUBSCRIBE or ARRET) right away; reply START to opt back in, or HELP for contact information. Review requests identify the business and include a way to opt out.
Where it's stored
Data is stored on a server rented from DigitalOcean, LLC. The server and its backups may be located outside Canada (for example, in the United States), so the data may be subject to the laws of that country. Calls and texts are carried by Twilio Inc. (United States). Form emails may pass through our email provider. These providers process data only to deliver the service.
How long we keep it
Call, text and voicemail records are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless a client asks for earlier deletion or the law requires longer retention. Client billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Safeguards
Encrypted HTTPS connections, signed webhooks, restricted server access and least-privilege credentials.
